Spanning more than one thousand years, Xian has been the site of 11 Chinese dynastic capitals. It is situated in an area at the heart of Chinese civilisation and is a source of continual archaeological discoveries, the most famous of these being the extraordinary terracotta army of the first emperor of China.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrive Xian
Arrive Xian and transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. (D)

Day 2 - Xian
Visit the amazing archeological relics of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, including a full circle movie presentation which provides the historical perspective for what you will see in the main exhibition halls where excavation and restoration work is still going on. Later visit the remains of the 6,000 year old Banpo Village before ending the day with a traditional Dumpling Dinner whilst being entertained by the colourful Tang Dance Show. (B,L,D)

Day 3 - Xian
This morning visit the Shaanxi Provincial Museum, one of the best history museums in China, before walking around the City Wall and visiting the Bell Tower. Free afternoon to explore the city on your own. (B,L)

Day 4 - Depart Xian
Transfer to the airport for exit flight. (B)
